Quentin's Centenary
Well it seems like only yesterday I first watched The Naked Civil Servant, yet here it is - 2008 will be the centenary of Quentin's birth!
And what a year it promises to be.
- A sequal to The Naked Civil Servant - to be titled "An Englishman In New York" is to be made with John Hurt reprising his role as Quentin.
- Richard Louis James put on a second run of his play Tea 'N' Crisp at the San Francisco Playhouse in February, and will be returning for a third run in the summer.
- Tim Fountain is hoping to get his play Resident Alien produced again.
- Leon Acord has also told me that he and Jeffrey Hartgraves are trying to get their play Carved In Stone produced again.
- I also suspect that Philip Ward will publish Quentin's last book Dusty Answers.
- Stephen Sorrentino has just told me about his new book on Quentin 'Crisp Conversation' which he has just finished
- Bova Films have purchased the rights to a film of one of Quentin's shows, and are planning a full length feature documentary to be called 'I'm notorious : Quentin Crisp'
