Back to the King's Head (1976)
The difference between my life before and after The Naked Civil Servant was broadcast became most clearly visible at the King's Head. When I returned there in the spring of 1976, the little huddle of embarrassed friends sitting at one table had become a crowd so numerous that some members of the audience were obliged to lean against the back wall of the room.
