And what a year it promises to be.
- A sequal to The Naked Civil Servant entitled "An Englishman In New York" in which John Hurt is reprising his most famous role has just finished location shooting.
- Richard Louis James put on a second run of his play Tea 'N' Crisp at the San Francisco Playhouse on 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th February and followed this up with a third run throughout July and August in the same theatre in the summer.
He did another one off performance in Lafayette on 17 October 2008.
His show has been picked as one of the finalists in a solo performance festival for the Ross Valley Players in Marin County which will be heald on 27 February 2009. - Tim Fountain's play Resident Alien is being put on again for a ten week run at the New End Theatre during February to April 2009 to mark the centenary of Quentin's birth. This is the same theatre where Quentin first performed 'An Evening With Quentin Crisp'. Betty Bourne will be reprising his role.
- Although Jeffrey Hartgraves very sadly and unexpectedly passed away on 25 September 2008 Leon Acord has is continuing with his plans to get their play Carved In Stone produced again in the Spring of 2009.
They had a free staged pubic reading of the play on 9 November 2008 which went very well and generated a lot of interest. - Philip Ward will publish Quentin's last book Dusty Answers in 2009.
- Stephen Sorrentino has just told me about his new book on Quentin 'Crisp Conversation' which he has just finished
- Bova Films have purchased the rights to a film of one of Quentin's shows, and are planning a full length feature documentary to be called 'I'm notorious : Quentin Crisp'
